Manually select and play any frequency from 1Hz to 20,000Hz. Perfect for custom speaker unblocking or audio testing.
Slide to adjust the exact frequency (pitch) of the sound
Important: Turn volume to maximum and place on a flat surface for best results.
Important information regarding this tool
While our standard Water Eject mode uses a highly optimized 165Hz pulsed tone, every smartphone and speaker has a slightly different physical design. Some smaller devices might need a higher pitched sound (like 300Hz or 440Hz) to properly shake the water out.
Use this manual frequency generator to find the perfect "sweet spot" for your device. Just slide the bar until you feel the strongest vibration. If you're a developer or audio tester, this tool is also great for checking speaker frequency response. (Brought to you by DevDesk App).
Common questions from our users
Usually, low-frequency bass tones between 150Hz and 165Hz work the best. These low tones create strong physical vibrations that push water droplets out of the tiny speaker holes.
No, playing any frequency from this generator is perfectly safe for your device hardware. However, please be careful with your own ears! Playing very high frequencies (above 10,000Hz) at maximum volume can be uncomfortable.
Generating simple sound frequencies does not consume significantly more battery than playing standard music.
Many smartwatch users find that tones between 150Hz and 300Hz are highly effective at vibrating water out of the small speaker grilles.
We recommend setting your volume to maximum (100%) to ensure the sound waves have enough physical force to eject water.
While you can test your high-frequency hearing range, remember that laptop or phone speakers might physically not be able to produce sounds above 15kHz accurately.
Most adult humans lose the ability to hear extremely high frequencies as they age. Also, many standard smartphone speakers cap their audio output ranges.
